Patricia Premeau to Present at AZ State Bar Convention

Patricia A. Premeau of Engelman Berger is scheduled to present at the State Bar of Arizona’s Annual Convention, joining a panel focused on the legal fallout from failed real estate investments and investor disputes. The 2026 conference, held at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, centers on the theme “Moving Your Practice Forward,” highlighting the evolving challenges facing today’s legal professionals.

Premeau’s program is on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., entitled “And Chaos Ensues: Litigating the Intersection Between Botched Real Estate Investments and Angry Investors Out for Blood.”  The session – a panel discussion – will examine what happens when real estate projects promoted as “low risk, high return” collapse – triggering investor losses, competing claims, and complex litigation. Premeau’s fellow panelists include include Kathleen D. Fox, Esq. of WFG National Title Insurance Company; William A. Kozub, Esq. ofKozub Kloberdanz; John T. Lotardo aka the TITLEMAN™; and Mark J. Giunta, Esq. of the Law Office of Mark J. Giunta.

The program will cover such topics as:

  • Structuring and documenting real estate investments to reduce risk
  • Litigating failed developments, including causes of action, defenses, remedies, and bankruptcy considerations
  • Practical risk-management strategies for attorneys handling real estate investment disputes

The session offers 3 CLE credit hours, 1 ethics credit hour, and 3 real estate law specialization credit hours.

Premeau is a Certified Real Estate Law Specialist representing Arizona businesses, property owners, and professionals in complex disputes. Her practice focuses on commercial and real estate litigation, including contract disputes, lease negotiations, construction defect claims, title and boundary matters, and broader business conflicts. She also handles bankruptcy and appellate matters.
