Engelman Berger will continue its longstanding support of the advancement of women in the legal profession as a Bronze Sponsor of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association’s (AWLA) 47th Annual Convention.
Centered on the theme, “Celebrating Women, Steering the Future of Law,” the statewide event will take place Oct. 16 at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center in Phoenix. The convention brings together attorneys, judges, law school faculty and students, and representatives of bar and affinity organizations from across Arizona to discuss issues shaping the profession and foster meaningful connections within the legal community.
Attendees will have access to 4.5 hours of continuing legal education, including ethics programming, as well as networking opportunities, the presentation of the prestigious Sarah Herring Sorin Award, and access to explore the Carver Museum.
“Supporting organizations that invest in the success and leadership of women attorneys strengthens the legal profession as a whole,” said Partner Patricia A. Premeau. “AWLA has played an important role in creating opportunities for women lawyers to connect, develop professionally and advance their careers. Engelman Berger is proud to support this year’s convention and the organization’s ongoing impact throughout Arizona.”
Founded to promote and encourage the success of women lawyers across Arizona, AWLA provides professional support, networking opportunities, leadership development and programs that recognize and advance the contributions of women in the legal profession.
