10 minute read

Bradley D. Pack of Engelman Berger will be a featured speaker at the 2026 Southwest Bankruptcy Conference, one of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s premier regional events bringing together leading voices in restructuring, insolvency, and commercial litigation. Additionally, with Michael P. Rolland serving on the ABI advisory board, Engelman Berger continues to play a visible role in shaping the conversations that influence bankruptcy practice nationwide.

The event takes place September 9–10 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.

The conference will feature sessions led by experienced practitioners, judges, and industry experts, offering fresh insights into both business and consumer bankruptcy trends. Pack will take part in a panel discussion on September 10th entitled, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth-Year Associate?” In what is sure to be a lively and entertaining session, a game show-inspired format will pit partners against associates on their knowledge of the bankruptcy code, “Big Law” lore, and bankruptcy-adjacent pop culture.

Pack will be joined by moderator Steven Jerome of Snell & Wilmer, and panelists Anthony Austin of Fennemore Craig; Alphamorlai Kebeh of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis; Allison McGregor of Greenberg Traurig; Hilda Montes de Oca of the Financial Law Grpoup, and Warren Stapleton of Osborn Maledon.

In his practice, Pack represents creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, receiverships, and complex loan workouts. His commercial litigation practice includes representing lending institutions and businesses in loan and contract disputes. He has also argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Rolland focuses on real estate disputes, breach of contract, ownership disputes, loan workouts, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, receiverships, and appeals. He represents a diverse clientele, including debtors and creditors, lenders, real estate developers, commercial landlords, and other business owners.

The ABI is the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy professionals, with nearly 10,000 members across multidisciplinary roles –attorneys, judges, lenders, auctioneers, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants, and more. ABI supports its members through conferences, continuing education, research, and robust networking opportunities.
