Alex Occhionero joined Engelman Berger in 2026 following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Samuel A. Thumma at the Arizona Court of Appeals.

While attending the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, Alex gained valuable experience as an extern with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Phoenix.

This diverse background provides Alex with a strong foundation to support the firm’s Bankruptcy & Reorganization, Agricultural Law, and Appellate practices. He also brings a background in business and economics, which informs his practical and analytical approach to client matters.
