Engelman Berger is strengthening its litigation team with the addition of Ryan J. Lorenz, an experienced attorney known for his thoughtful and creative litigation strategies.
His practice encompasses a broad spectrum of trial and appellate litigation in federal, state, and tribal court jurisdictions, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums. Lorenz’s practice has emphasized litigation of commercial disputes and secured consumer loan enforcement, with other subject matter experience in real estate disputes, trust and estate litigation, and he has practiced before more tribal courts than any lawyer in the southwest, from New Mexico, across Arizona and into Utah, Nevada and California.
Lorenz is a graduate of Creighton University, where he earned both his Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He has served a number of professional and community organizations, including the Scottsdale Bar Association, homeowners association boards, the Fresh Start Foundation Men’s Board, and the State Bar of Arizona Committee on Civil Jury instructions.
His excellence in the field has been consistently recognized by such outlets as Martindale-Hubbell, who awarded him with an AV Preeminent rating. Lorenz was also recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America, who has honored him for his work in Insolvency/Reorganization Law, Litigation and other areas annually since 2022.
