Scott B. Cohen has been selected to receive the 2026 Top Pro Bono Award from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education, an honor reserved for just 50 attorneys statewide.
Established in 2001, the award recognizes attorneys who have dedicated significant time and expertise to serving residents of Arizona who might otherwise lack access to legal representation. Cohen was nominated by the Bankruptcy Court in recognition of his commitment to expanding access to justice for underserved and vulnerable populations.
Cohen will be recognized at the 2026 Arizona State Bar Convention and honored at the foundation’s annual awards luncheon, themed “Moving Justice Forward,” on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at The Westin La Paloma in Tucson. He will also be featured alongside fellow honorees in the June/July issue of Arizona Attorney magazine.
“Pro bono work is essential to ensuring that everyone has access to quality legal representation, regardless of their circumstances,” said firm co-founder Steven N. Berger. “Scott continues our long tradition of doing our part to help people facing legal issues that would otherwise have to face them alone.”
An experienced commercial bankruptcy attorney and trusted problem solver, Cohen brings more than 30 years of experience advising clients on complex financial matters. His practice includes bankruptcy and commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, restructurings, workouts, and transactional matters. He represents a diverse client base, including banks, lenders, creditors, borrowers, landlords, guarantors, committees, and debtors.
Widely respected within Arizona’s legal community, Cohen also dedicates a considerable amount of time to community and charitable causes.
