Engelman Berger Annual Day of Service Benefits A New Leaf

March 24, 2026

10 minute read

In celebration of its anniversary, Engelman Berger, PC has once again turned its focus outward, dedicating a full day to community impact through its annual “Day of Service.” This year, attorneys and staff volunteered with A New Leaf, an organization committed to helping individuals and families overcome homelessness, domestic violence, and other life challenges.

The firm spent the day at the East Valley Men’s Center, a safe haven for men facing homelessness in Arizona that helps them re-integrate into the community. While providing shelter, the facility helps residents plan for a permanent housing plan, build a resume, find references, and secure job interviews. Firm volunteers prepared and served meals to the residents and also helped construct heavy-duty paracord keychains to help residents secure their personal belongings. Prior to the day of service, the firm collected donations for A New Leaf, including bed sheets, towels, personal hygiene products, and clothing.

“At Engelman Berger, we believe success is measured not only by the results we achieve for our clients, but also by the impact we make in our community,” said Partner Damien R. Meyer. “Spending this day with A New Leaf reinforces our commitment to supporting the organizations that make Arizona a better place to live and work.”

The event reflects Engelman Berger’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and service beyond the courtroom. Each year, the firm partners with a different organization, providing hands-on support where it’s needed most.

A New Leaf offers a wide range of services, including emergency shelter, housing assistance, family support programs, and resources for individuals experiencing crisis, making a meaningful difference in thousands of lives each year. For more information, visit turnanewleaf.org.
